Growing up on the shores of Lake Macquarie (NSW), Jordan was racing dinghies from the age of 7. He followed his passion for boats and yachting after school, completing his YachtMaster qualification before going on to skipper a high-latitude 60ft sailing yacht based out of Ushuaia, Argentina. During this part of his career Jordan ran charters to Antarctica, Cape Horn and Patagonia, spending 10 years navigating this rugged and harsh environment. Jordan has successfully completed large ocean passages, including a 42-day trip from Newcastle (Australia) to Cape Horn (Chile) across the Southern Ocean.

His passion for boating was enhanced by some of his father, Tony Mowbray’s, major achievements – namely, Tony sailed solo, nonstop and unassisted around  the world, when Jordan was 7. At the time, Tony was the fastest Australian to complete the Around the World milestone, with a finish time of 181 days.

Now based in Sydney, Australia Jordan’s transition to yacht brokerage has been smooth. His philosophy is to match his customers to the best boat for their needs, whether that is motoring around Hamilton Island, cruising around Sydney Harbour, or on a personal mission in more far off and exotic locations.
